I do not have any experience with step-up parlors so ask around for cows milked per hour. We put in a parabone swing 8 and I can put 60 an hour through with only 1 person doing everything.
BMVF-
I'm over here in Northampton County. I am thinking of expanding my herd from 24 up to 40-50 (we are a 100% retail outfit).
My plan is to put in a bedded pack barn and a swing 6 parlor. Who did your parlor install? I have a price back from F & T now, but it seems a litle steep. Do you remember approx what that parlor cost to install (not the building its in, just the stallwork and equipment).
thanks,
john
