In over 36 years in business, I've tried a lot of things, the only one that I can actually confirm that made money was Posilac which I haven't been able to use for several years. Waiting to run this imprestor stuff by my vet.

We went to a sales pitch meeting the other day. We ordered a bunch. I figure what the heck, our last year dairying we might as well see what this stuff does. We have a bunch of animals calving the next 3 months. I hope the effects last longer than 30 days.

Our vet has a special half price on for 5 months worth of fresh cows. They have a lot of product that is going to expire soon apparently

Elanco sells it for an introduction price of half off for six months. They are passing that along to you

Our Elanco rep only gave us $4 off of normal $14 for the first 6 months. So either we don't rate or we are too small of a herd to get the big discount? If others are getting half-off, I will have to inquire.

Rebate rate depends on what percent of your herd uses the product

I just uploaded all my receipts, full herd usage is $4 rebate and partial is $2 rebate per dose.

I have not really. We never had fresh cow mastitis anyhow but I thought it might help keep their immune system up & defend against other fresh cow problems.

    How about you?

We have never used it. Never had a fresh cow mastitis issue. Last 2 months we have had an incresase in fresh cow mastitis and was wondering what real life experiences have been.

I was on it, and liked it. But just for kicks and to save some cash, I went off of it and watched rumination in my fresh cow group. Fresh cow mastitis hasn't been an issue since we went off, and rumination hasn't been all that much worse in the fresh cow pen.

For now, we aren't using any at all. But I may use it on some higher risk cows in the future. I just don't think it's worth the cost of using on every single cow.
