    Default Ice cream

If we can have a thread about cheese, we can have a thread about ice cream.

Looking at yongfarmer's posts got me hungry for New York vanilla. I think it's better than French Vanilla. Other flavors I like are butter pecan, and anything with caramel & fudge. Also a fan of drumsticks.

Only one I don't like is rocky road. Not a fan of marshmallows in my ice cream.

French vanilla covered with maple syrup. Also mint chocolate and anything with peanut butter cups.

Oh dear ice cream, I remember the days of eating 2kgs each night. My solution to stop was cold turkey!

    Wow , so that's a 4litre container gone every second night !

We often have the Peters Original in vanilla or the cosmopolitan flavour with a fresh chopped up banana.

Ice cream is surely one of the greatest blessings of dairy.

Had some really good homemade vanilla. If that's not an option, blue bunny vanilla bean is hard to beat. Preferably the kind you do not get sick from.

Exactly! 4 litres of Peters Original (the really creamy stuff) every 2nd night, went on for months. Used to work a lot harder and longer back then and ohhh to be younger again with a fast metabolism...

The metabolism thing as we age is terrible isn't? Used to be able to eat 3 donuts a day. Now maybe 3 donuts a week.

Sure is and what a difference you see even in just a few years! Best thing seems to be cut a lot of sugar and processed foods out of the diet. Doesn't help being a chocoholic!

Seems kind of ironic that you lived on beer and ice cream yet you are passionate about cow nutrition!

Haha isn't it?! Perhaps it was the interest in nutrition that helped curb the poor diet!

Don't know if I would call that a "poor" diet! Nothing wrong with being a strong supporter of the dairy industry while helping out our hop and barley growing farmers

I've never had butter pecan icecream. I feel left out.
